(Warning: Might not be interesting)
Woke up this morning to my niece, Samantha Jayne (Sammy) and nephew,
Jordan coming into my room and explore the knocks and crannies of my dresser
table (as they always do). Their parents (sis and bro-in-law) had to go back to
Kuala Penyu (2 hours drive) in the morning to take care of some paper works at
the office and my mom and dad went off to settle their own work so I’m stuck
with Sammy and Jordy for half of the day. Wasn’t much of a work though, they
were glued watching cartoons (Adventures of Finn and Jake/Oggy and the
Cockroaches are their favs) until they eventually fell asleep and I carried
them to the air-conditioned room which I then fell asleep.
Woke up with my the sound of my mom and dad’s car roaring on the driveway and of course the kids woke up as well excited to see what grandma and grandpa bought them (my parents like to spoil them but they bought nothing btw). So my mom told me to get ready as Sammy and Jordy’s parents are gonna bring my mom and I to get my hair cut.
Aiifa (my good friend from high school who’s now studying at IPG to
become an English teacher) asked for a favor beforehand if she can borrow my
Islamic History books for her TITAS assignment. Called her up and turns out
she’s at the exact place where my family and I are going to get my hair cut!
Karamunsing. So it was perfect timing to pass her the books and hang with her
for a bit and we did! She looks so much like a teacher now. Mature,
knowledgeable and stuff! Gad, I miss her so much! After passing the books to
Aiifa we went our own ways and my mom and Sammy accompanied me to the saloon
while my sis, her husband and baby Jordy went shopping. The outcome of the hair
cut made my head feel a lot lighter now! I could totally swish it back and
forth without getting dizzy!
After Karamunsing, my sis(Ophie) treated us to SUSHI AT WOJAMAMA,
LINTAS!! I was sooo dying to eat sushi and not those supermarkets bought ones!
My sister, mom and I are big sushi fanatics in the family. I’m not sure if my
bro-in-law(Joe) is a sushi lover though, he doesn’t seem to hate it but he
doesn’t show much interest in it either. He probably tolerates it since he’s
married to my sister! Gooosh! Raw/smoke salmon, salmon roe, egg roll YUM!!!! Along
with those yummy side dishes I had the bento meal as well. I forgot what it was
called but there was garlic rice, salad, fruits, seaweed and deep fried salmon
in there. Yoshi… Yishi bento… I don’t know! I just know that it was
incredibly delicious! Sammy and Jordan aren’t allowed to eat the raw kinds of
sushi but they seem to love the cooked ones! I think they might join their
Aunt, Grandma and Mommy in the sushi lovers club sometime in the future!
Afterwards, full and about to explode, my mom and I stayed in the car
with the kids while my sister and husband went into Servay to buy groceries as
they are going up to Ranau (2 hours drive) the next day to visit her in-laws.
We waited for an hour! Good thing the engine was on, the air-conditioned breeze
in the car put us all to sleep and it made the waiting less unpleasant. We
arrived home after buying some Chinese noodles takeaways from our favourite
Chinese restaurant for my dad, sis(Tess), her husband(Dell) and their guests
for dinner.
and so here I am! Typing away my day as I have nothing else to do!
I’m going to end this post by giving you an improper ending.
POTATOES.
