Hello, I'm Evelyn from Malaysia. Turning 20 on the 9th of September 2013.

Follow me on this journey of a petite girl from the island of North Borneo as she embarks on life and transitions from a teen to a young adult.

It's strange isn't it? How a click could lead you onto a piece of life. Reading about a stranger, word after word, page after page. Are you up for it?

Let Go by Evelyn Serena Totu

This is another poem that I wrote for the school yearbook 2012 edition. I'm not sure if anyone would notice that it's a follow up of my poem from 2011 titled, 'Hold On'. I love wordplay.

Let Go by Evelyn Serena Totu

Melancholic,
As the dead of night
Without stars to guide,
A moon to shine
And any soul to lend an ear.

Rage and tears piling up
Like a stack of cards waiting to be knocked over
A flicker of a finger,
A blow of breath
Unravelling into a mess;

Sentiments of happiness
Temporary as life
Fragile and easily disturbed
Depression takes flight.

But hold on!
Forgive and never forget
For those who torments you
Were tormented,
Those who spite
Were spited.

To understand is the cure
Letting go will be euphoric
Confront with an open heart
Think with a clear mind.

For who are we to know
When our last breath would be
Last words are;
Last sight is.

Life’s too short for grudges
Enjoy what’s there left
In this wonderful world
Overrun with opposing advocates.
